You will be absolutely amazed at all the things you find at Basix. First of all, you can get almost anything you need in the line of school or office supplies. But the creative owner, manager, and buyer has a very wide range of items to choose from. Many of the local textbooks are carried here. There are Belize souvenirs, Blue Mountain Arts greeting cards, small household appliances and products, beach towels, shirts, belts, religious items, comforters, purses, and billfolds, just to name a few. The stock changes every few weeks, so you need to visit often to see what is available.
The owner and manager of Basix is Ingrid Gómez-Sajia. She is usually on hand
to help you find what you need and to answer questions.
Teresita is always on hand to help you. She is prepared to do your
photocopying or assist you in your purchases.
There is a wide variety of greeting cards available. The collection of
Blue Mountain Arts cards is very popular and they go fast.
There are cards in both English and Spanish.

There are many things to choose from at Basix. When you walk in, you look
around and see everything from beach towels to bristol board. In between are
Belizean souvenirs, postcards, shirts, belts, kitchen products, toiletries,
ceramic statues, frames, and purses on one side, and all sorts of office and
