The Corozal Police formation under the command of Superintendent Andrew Ramirez held a most successful town meeting last night at the Andres Campos Civic Center. It was a tragic story when it broke that a baby had been kidnapped in Corozal on Sunday night, March 24, and a 0,000 US ransom was demanded. Due to the diligent work of police, the baby was rescued in Corozal Town the next day. Here is the police story of .

Congratulations to Rigo Vellos of Corozal Town who was named Mr. Belize in a competition in Belize City in 2012! He is manager and trainer at the Lotus Studio Gym on 5th Avenue in Corozal Town.
Rigo has been offered the chance to compete in the Hercules Olympia competition on May 11 in Colchester, England. It would be a dream come true for him to compete internationally, and friends want to make that dream come true by raising US 00 to pay for his airfare hotel and food.

Due to the efforts of the Corozal Rotary Club in cooperation with the Corozal Town Board and other organizations and the work of two Rotary Clubs in Canada as well as youth groups, new state-of-the-art playground equipment over four days installed at Santa Rita Park, right next to Santa Rita Archaeological Site. This project demonstrates what can be done with international cooperation, all the way from volunteers from Canada to the families in the neighborhood who helped provide snacks and labor, painting benches, digging holes, and painting the old swings, giving the park a brand new look!
