Manager's Message

Greetings from the Management, Faculty and Staff of the Corozal Institute for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ITVET). It is indeed a great pleasure to welcome you to the Corozal ITVET website. Corozal ITVET is a Government of Belize funded technical and vocational education and training institution geared at providing our Belizean community with a wide range of professional and technical skills required to meet the technological demands of the 21st Century.

Programs offered at this institution include Belize National Vocational Qualification (BzNVQ) levels one to three, customized training and a pre-vocational program. Programs are of ten months duration of which nine months include theory and practical at the Institute and one month on the job training (OJT) in industry. BzNVQ programs offered are competency based and presented in modules where each module is an organized group of learning experiences aimed at achieving a specific group of related objectives.

Upon completing the regular full time or customized training program offered at the Institute, the trainee will be able to go into the world of work at entry level or pursue further training at level 2 and 3. At ITVET we strive to meet the needs and aspirations of our trainees, through career counseling, job orientation and entrepreneurial skills.

Currently, we are offering full time trades in Food Preparation, Cosmetology and Ornamental Horticulture. In the future and based on the needs and demands from the industry and community, we will be expanding and diversifying our programs to suit the needs of our Belizean youths and community at large.
