Earth Day, 2014 was celebrated in Corozal Town with a massive clean-up campaign with participation by many local groups, including schools and organizations. Mae Klein was active for FOCUS (Friends of Corozal United for Sustainability) in getting the word out and organizing the event. Groups were assigned from areas south of Corozal on the highway all the way to the border.
After the clean-up, there was an environmental program at Mangrove Park (FOCUS's flagship project) and lunch was served to all who participated. Many local citizens were present to participate and the event was considered a success by all!
